CHRISTMAS 2011

Our first Christmas with my beloved husband passed on into Beulah Land.
Decor from bygone days of Christmas but take note of photo of Kelly and myself -she was married at the Cape this past July on the beach-we all put the wedding together for her and Dan. My husband was there in spirit I am sure.

Just some garland with antique bulbs and great grandmom Malvina.

A whimiscal wreath I made 5 years ago, so cute!

Nothing better for the holidays than citrus and cloves.

Small brush trees sitting in tiny tea pots-never can have enough brush trees at Christmastide.

PEAKS AND VALLEYS

A sack towel ready to gift my daughter at Thanksgiving at her home.

My daughter  will be doing a craft show for myself in upstate NY on 12/03.

Again  my dear people life has hit me smack in the face-Yes the Norester we suffered in Western Ma on 10/29 caused much damage to my home-I was displaced for about one week at my daughter's home. Now back home and in the midst of insurance companies and contractors.

I am safe here in my home now  as is - but in time all will get done.  The beautiful landscape my husband and myself  loved about our property is totally different now. But those things are not important. Life and families is what matters!

A PRODUCTIVE WEEKEND

Saturday's project-Karyn my older daughter and her friend stayed the day and gifted  me with this beutiful chandelier for my living room  which lacked light. This photo really does not do it justice-it is a dark black rod iron brightens things up in there-Thanks K and J-good job!

Remember the old Leisure Art book series? I photocopied some "old time" photos and sewed some paper stockings and mittens together-they will hold some old fashioned treats for gifting at Christmas time.

My dear Frida-now who does not love her?! These are decophaged magnets-a set of 6 perhaps to be sold at craft fair.  I have a necklace I made of Frida and get so many compliments whenever I wear it-people are intrigued by her.

French inchie magnets-love these illustrations bought on ETSY.

Today taking a dear friend out to Kris Kringle Candles to take just a short relaxing Autumn ride in New England, foliage is quite beautiful.
